Workshops and Sittings

 

On Friday evenings, 5:30 - 6:30 PM, I offer a weekly hybrid meditation. We begin with 10 minutes of light yoga or slow walking. The bell is rung, and as we settle into meditative silence, I read a quote from a Buddhist teacher (all traditions honored). We sit for 30 minutes, and then the quote is read once more. We spend the last fifteen minutes sharing questions, observations and dialogue.

On quasi-monthly Saturday mornings, 10:30 - 12:45, I offer BEING TARA. This is a workshop exploring different aspects (or emanations) of “the mother of all buddhas.” This workshop is structured around the experience and needs of those who show up - ranging from introduction to Tara herself, to sharing of experiences of Tara practice, to explorations of history, philosophy and language. We do a “sadhana” with specific praises and mantras for the emanation of the month. Each Tara helps us explore a different aspect of ourselves.

These events are offered for free-will donations. Dana can be given in person at the meditation center, or through Paypal online.
